For over 20 years, MMAD has delivered music and mentoring programs, including Rehab Radio, inside Juvenile Detention Centres - using creativity to connect, heal, and empower young people.

Now, alongside a powerful team, we’re reimagining Rehab Radio as Futures, a 24/7 station created with, and for, young people in detention.

Broadcasting stories of resilience, curated music, and real pathways to education, employment, and support, Futures offers more than hope. It’s a lifeline. A tool for healing, growth, and change.

This isn’t just a radio station or a rehabilitative weekly program. It’s a national “village” in the making - an inspiring, consistent presence reminding every young person that their past doesn’t define them, and their future is still theirs to write.

If you hold a key to unlocking Futures, please get in touch - let’s make Futures a light in the darkness for young people across the country.

Rewriting Futures Through Radio

  • If I had something like Futures when I was in prison - stories of hope and real connections to opportunity - I wouldn't have spent so long inside.

    Danny Shannon

  • I thought this was just another program, but it's not. The change and enthusiasm in the boys is truly astonishing.

    Juvenile Justice Program Manager

  • I honestly look forward to Futures every week - it's the highlight of my week.

    Young person in juvenile detention

  • I met MMAD inside Cobham, connected with them after my release and now I've made the Sony STAR program with MMAD.

    Young person, post release

Our passion for working in juvenile justice comes straight from Dom & Em - our co-founders - who started their journey as youth workers inside centres over 20 years ago. Since then, MMAD has been delivering day camps, events, workshops, courses, support groups, transition support, cultural days, holiday programs and creative content projects with young people across juvenile justice centres Australia-wide.

When young people return to the community, they can reconnect with MMAD’s support - helping them navigate a healthy transition and commit to new beginnings.

Know a young person under 24 who needs MMAD’s support post-release? Connect them with community programs here.
