Duty of Care & Child Safety
Our Commitment to Child Safety
At Musicians Making A Difference (MMAD), we believe every young person deserves to be safe, seen, and supported.
We are fully committed to creating spaces where young people feel protected, respected, and empowered - no matter their background, identity, or story.
To keep children and young people safe, we commit to:
Embedding the 10 Child Safe Standards across everything we do
Creating environments that are physically, emotionally, and culturally safe
Taking action to prevent any form of abuse, neglect, or harmful behaviour
Listening to young people’s voices and including them in decisions that affect them
Making sure young people always know who they can talk to, and how to get support if they ever feel unsafe
Child Protection
At Musicians Making A Difference (MMAD), the safety, wellbeing, and empowerment of children and young people is our top priority. We are committed to creating safe, inclusive, and supportive environments where every child can participate, learn, and thrive.
MMAD operates in line with all relevant federal and state/territory child protection legislation and the Australian Child Safe Standards. We implement robust policies, training, and practices to prevent harm, recognise concerns, and respond appropriately.
All MMAD staff, volunteers, and contractors:
